Meropenem is the broad spectrum β-lactam antibiotic, that comes under the classification of Carbapenems. Primarily used in critically ill patients admitted in hospital ICU(s). Meropenem is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Some of these include meningitis, intra-abdominal infection, pneumonia & sepsis.
